Learn All About Debt Consolidation In This Article

by Roger Ricafort

Solving the issue of overwhelming outstanding debt can sometimes seem like an impossibility. However, as long as you take the time to teach yourself about debt consolidation options and concepts, there really is hope. Continue reading to find out what to watch for and what you can do to ensure a promising financial tomorrow.

If you're trying to pay down your debt, try borrowing a bit from your 401(k) or other employer-sponsored retirement account. Be careful with this, though. While you're able to borrow from your retirement plan for low interest, failing to pay it back as you agreed, losing your job, or being unable to pay it all back, the loan will be considered dismemberment. Your taxes and penalties will then be assessed as for why funds were withdrawn early.

Understand the difference between debt consolidation and a home equity loan. Many companies will guise a home equity loan (where you put your home on the line for the debt) as true debt consolidation. That's not always the wisest move to make, especially if you have a family involved. Know the differences and the risks before making that decision.

Consolidate all of your high interest credit cards onto one credit card with a reasonable interest level. If you've got multiple cards above 20% interest, you are paying way too much. That money going to interest could be helping you pay off that debt! Plus multiple cards means multiple minimum payments. It's best to attack one card alone if you can.

If you own your home, consider taking out a home equity loan. Since the interest on these loans is tax-deductible, you can save money in multiple ways. Provided you are able to get a good interest rate, this is a smart way to consolidate your debt into one monthly payment.

Many people find that they can lower their monthly payments by simply calling their creditors. Most creditors will work with debtors to help them get out of debt. If you have a credit card and cannot afford the monthly payment, call the credit card company and explain your situation, the credit card company may be willing to lower your minimum payment; however, they will not let you charge using the card.

Understand why you are here in the first place. Debt consolidation is only half the battle. You need to make lifestyle changes for it to be an effective means to increasing your financial well being. That means taking a hard look at your credit report and bank accounts. Know what led to this scenario.

If you are looking for a debt consolidation program, consider searching the Internet. Many sites on the Internet offer you the chance to shop various lenders in order to find the best interest rates and terms with one application process. This can simplify things, and help you to find a plan that really works for you.

If you are struggling with seemingly insurmountable debt, you are not alone. But, you should also realize that there really are debt consolidation opportunities that can help a great deal. With any luck, the advice above has shown you what to guard against and what to look for when making these types of financial decisions.

The 3 Best Abdominal Exercises that Are NOT Your "Normal" Ab Exercises

A unique ab workout that doesn't contain your typical boring stomach exercises - no crunches or situps here!

by Mike Geary - Certified Nutrition Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer
Author of best-seller:  The Truth about Six Pack Abs

Instead of the typical ab routines that we see so often with crunches, situps, leg lifts, etc... I like to give my readers better options for metabolism-boosting high intensity workouts that work their entire body while also working their abs... thus building rock hard abs & core, but also creating a much better fat-burning workout than a typical ab workout.
I'm going to show you an example today of one of my favorite "ab workouts" that doesn't include any direct "ab exercises" at all. This is actually a full body workout that works your abs pretty hard indirectly, and stimulates a good metabolism boost!  It's in a tri-set format (similar to a super-set but alternating between 3 exercises instead of 2).

Here goes:
1a. Renegade Dumbbell Rows
1b. Front Squats with Barbell
1c. Mountain Climbers on Floor

A good rep scheme to use with this could be 3-4 sets of 8 reps for each exercise, or more sets for less reps, such as 5 sets of 5 reps of each exercise. Mountain climbers can be done for a time interval (such as 30 seconds) instead of "reps".

Exercise Pics & Descriptions:
Renegade dumbbell rows are done starting in a pushup position with the hands on 2 dumbbells. You then row one dumbbell up while stabilizing your body with the other arm. Bring the dumbbell back to the ground and alternate the rowing arm while stabilizing with the opposite arm. This stabilizing effect during the rows creates incredible work for your entire midsection core area. Trust me... you'll feel it in the abs!

Front squats are done similar to back squats, however with the barbell in front of your body on the front of your shoulders instead of resting on the upper back as in back squats. You stabilize the barbell on your shoulders by crossing your arms and pushing your fists into the bar against your shoulders while keeping your elbows out in front of the body.
This takes a little practice at first, so you will want to seek a professional trainer at your gym to help you with the form. Front squats require extreme stabilization strength from the abs due to the barbell weight being shifted to the front of the body instead of the back. Even though this is mostly a leg exercise, you'll feel this one in the abs big time!  Any time I do front squats after not having done them for a while, I get a really deep soreness in my abs the next day.

Mountain climbers are done by starting in a pushup position and then shuffling your feet in and out so that your knees are moving in under your chest and then back out to starting position. It sort of resembles climbing a mountain but flat on the floor. If you want an advanced version, you can also shuffle your hands 8-10 inches forward and backward in addition to the leg movements. This really makes it a full body exercise and MUCH more difficult than standard mountain climbers.

After finishing each exercise, try to move to the next exercise with very minimal rest (no more than 15-20 seconds).  Rest about 1-2 minutes after completing each "tri-set" before repeating the sequence.

This will give you one of the best ab workouts you've ever had without even doing any direct ab exercises.... and with a LOT more fat-burning metabolic effect compared to standard ab exercises...  You'll see what I mean after you try it!  This can be used as a stand-alone workout (as it can be very intense if you use challenging weights), or you can incorporate it as a portion of your full body workout.

Not only will you receive a complete blue-print for challenging full-body workouts that will thoroughly define your entire body in addition to your abs (can be adjusted to beginners or advanced levels), but you'll also gain a thorough understanding of what types of nutritional strategies and other lifestyle aspects that it takes to reduce your belly fat to the level where your abs are visible.  Remember, nutrition and mindset are MORE important than just the workouts!

Syndicate Your Blog

Because Sometimes You Just Can't Keep Up!

Here is the thing, if I've had trouble with this, the rest of the planet must've had trouble with this as well. I am the smartest woman on this planet. Just kidding guys and gals, but it's good to toot your own horn sometimes right :) .

What I found was that with Syndication I had trouble remembering all the steps that I needed to take. This resulted in me getting lost between pages and wasting a lot of time. I know when I watched Jon in the video, he is really quick and his videos explain very well what to do. But here is the thing, me being the smartest woman on the planet, I couldn’t remember everything and my notes always read badly when I tried to decipher them. I tried to put links in a Google tab, and again me being the smartest woman on the planet, I keep forgetting where things were.

So I decided to do a INGENIOUS thing. Why not create a blog that has got all the steps in it of what I need to do. So I did and VIOLA! What if I linked all the web pages in there so I only need to point and click, so I did. What if I put an image at the side of my blog that lets me jump straight to my syndication post and let me syndicate my post very easily. That gives me more time to help my kids prepare for Preschool, clean the house, prepare dinner and get ready to do it all again the next day.  What was 2+2 again right 12346566, me being the smartest woman on the planet.

If you like what I have done, feel free to copy the content and past it into your own blog, you can then add the links to the websites and the picture on the side to link it to the blog, so you can find it quick. Later when you find more sites where you want to promote your blog you can add them to your Syndication List.

This is the video that you need to watch from Jon:
